About Vedabee
A bee visits flower after flower and turns what it gathers into honey. We hope every child who reads with us does the same: collecting stories, one by one, and turning them into wisdom that stays sweet for life.
Our mission
To spark a lifelong curiosity in children about Hindu gods, our sacred stories and the great spiritual leaders of India, through rhyme, colour and play.
We create joyful, age-right picture books that are faithful to the scriptures and simple enough for a two-year-old to love, so that parents and grandparents can pass on our heritage at bedtime, in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
Our vision
We see a world where every child, wherever they grow up, knows Hanuman's courage, Ganesha's wisdom and Swami Vivekananda's call to rise, and carries those values of kindness, courage, truth and service into everything they do.
Our goal is to be the first bookshelf a family reaches for when they want their little one to meet our gods and gurus.
What we care about
The founders
From Glasgow to Vadodara, one shared wish: that children everywhere grow up loving our stories.
Co-founder · Glasgow, UK
Punya lives in Glasgow, Scotland, and works in the technology sector at a leading investment bank. He started Vedabee to share the stories he grew up with in a way today's children can enjoy, and brings the books, the website and the digital side of Vedabee to life.
Co-founder · Vadodara, India
Bhavesh lives in Vadodara, Gujarat, where he is Regional Head of Vivekananda Kendra, a service organisation inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. He brings deep knowledge of our traditions and years of work with young people, and makes sure every story stays true to its roots.
